Eeny Meeny

Picture
What happens when you mix a shipload of pirates, a school of dolphins, a chest of treasure and a false leg? A game of eeny-meeny!

‘Wait,’ said the captain, who was called Red Roy, tapping his best peg-leg thoughtfully on the deck. ‘We must take only what we can spend today, so as not to arouse suspicion.’
Red Ned nodded. ‘That’ll be a pocketful of gold apiece!’ he said. ‘Line up, me hearties.’
The pirates lined up, and Red Roy paced down the line ladling gold into pockets.
Red Roy took an extra fistful of rubies and hid them in the hollow compartment in his best peg-leg. He put his second-best peg-leg into the treasure chest for safekeeping.
