Cat Mahal is Magic

Picture

Cat Mahal is a witch and the descendant of witches. She carries the blood of two prominent witch families and as the occasionally reluctant confidante of her 5Xgreat grandmother, kind-of-dead Elizabeth, she finds herself embroiled in a complex task; the recovery of seven priceless jewels once fitted into the Beckingham Bride Chest and now scattered over time and space. With another pair of witches possibly bent on revenge and restitution, preferably in that order, Cat quips, argues and reasons her way through the twists and turns of the matter until the moment of truth when, along with her familiar, Tish-Tash and a being named Lucy, she must set out on the moonstone path to retrieve the first of the jewels; the Peacock's Pearl. At the same time, she wrestles with the desire to find her unknown father (and to spit in his eye) and the problem of entering Year 11 with her mother working in the school as a freelance consultant.

Cat's first story The Peacock's Pearl, was published in late September 2016. It is available in paperback HERE. Other titles in the series, comprising The Drake's Diamond, The Tiger's Topaz, The Raven's Ruby, The Eagle's Emerald, The Swan's Sapphire and The Owl's Opal will follow.

The Pinterest board for the series is here.
